Trade License Registration

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) issues General Trade/Storage Licenses to traders and establishments for permitted trade activities under Section 2 (59) of the DMC Act, 1957.

It is mandatory for all traders and business establishments to obtain a trade/storage license under Section 417 within the jurisdiction of MCD. This license ensures that the business is operating in accordance with local safety and zoning regulations.

Key Regulatory Information

Necessity: Any person desiring to establish a business for General Trade and Storage is legally required to obtain an MCD license.

Amendments: Note that no amendments are permissible for increasing or decreasing trade area. If your business area increases, a fresh application must be submitted with the requisite fee difference.

✓ Proof of Occupancy: Lease deed, Sale deed, GPA, or Allotment letter.
✓ Utility Bills: Recent Electricity, Water, or Landline bill.
✓ KYC of Applicant: PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID, or [Aadhaar Redacted].
✓ Establishment Photos: Front-facia photo showing goods/business activity.
✓ Technical Docs: Site Plan/Key Plan and Unit Area (in Sq. meters).
✓ Tax Details: Copy of PAN, VAT, or TIN.
