Udyam Registration

Udyam Registration is an online registration process introduced by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) for recognizing Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in India.

It replaced the earlier Udyog Aadhaar system and provides businesses with a unique identification number and e-certificate.

This registration enables businesses to avail various government schemes, subsidies, and benefits designed to support MSMEs.

The process is completely paperless, based on Aadhaar authentication, and does not require physical documentation.

Micro Enterprises Businesses with lower investment and turnover limits under MSME classification.
Small Enterprises Enterprises operating within prescribed MSME investment and turnover criteria.
Medium Enterprises Businesses with larger turnover and investment within MSME thresholds.

Udyam Registration classifies enterprises based on investment in plant & machinery and annual turnover.

Registration Process

  • Visit the official Udyam Registration portal.
  • Enter Aadhaar Number and validate using OTP.
  • Fill business details including PAN, turnover, and investment details.
  • Submit the application online.
  • Receive Udyam Registration Number and e-certificate.
